What is Hazardous Waste Authorization?

Hazardous Waste Management Authorization (HWMA) is a mandatory permit under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. It is issued by the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) to industries that generate, store, transport, treat or dispose of hazardous waste.

Hazardous waste includes any waste that poses substantial danger to human health or the environment due to its chemical, physical or biological characteristics. Common sources include:

Categories of Hazardous Waste

Chemical Waste
